Hendrik.Lou

Sunday was spent Christmas shopping once again...to little avail. I did, however manage to sneak in a visit to Nouvelle Nouvelle's Winter Craft Market, organised by local zine space /
time. Many a hand-crafted goody were to be found, but, perhaps due to my poorly calculated warmth wearing, one instalment stood out the most for me.

Local stitch-savvy designer, Stephanie of Hendrik.Lou knitwear, displayed a most tantalising arrangement of beautiful knitted and crocheted accessories. Lusciously ample infinity scarves, thick pearly mittens, and the kind of toques your grandmother probably knit you when you were young that you hate yourself for not having worn.

In these frigid days when all we want to do is hibernate indoors over a cup of hot chocolate, treasures like these are almost a necessity. I'm choosing to see that lush camel hued Nordic Alpaca Loop as an investment in outdoor activity.

Find Stephanie's goods at The Board of Trade Co. (227 Union St.), and on her website HERE
